Instructor, Adult Basic Education (PT)

Salary: $25 per hour
Duties:
  • Reports to the Assistant Director of Adult Basic Education
  • Provides instruction for Adult Basic Education/Adult Basic Skills and High School Equivalency Preparation programs as directed and uses effective teaching methods
  • Responsible for monitoring and submitting daily sign-in sheets and other required forms in support of the program and documenting the progress of the students
  • Performs related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of one year of experience teaching Adult Basic Education, Reading, Mathematics and Language Arts.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to assist students.
  • Ability to follow curriculum. Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude to work with people in diverse populations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization, internal and external groups, including students, program team.
Note: Must be available to teach days, evenings and weekends at any Atlantic Cape location.
